steve1979
Hi guy's I am trying to make the rear shock as springy as possible to help with bouncing the rear end around. I've been practasing in the garage and i can get her to bounce to the left not too bad but i cant get the hang of bouncing to the right for some reason. I know it probably all comes down to practise and technique but i set the screw on the shock with the + and - to the softest and that helped alot but i was wondering if there is any other way of making a stock gas gas sachs shock springyer ie would screwing the two rings on the body of the shock up and down affect the bounciness of the shock. trialsnutterman
Yeah it will help to some extent, the more preload you run the less sag you will have to unweight and therefore it should be slightly easier to hop. You will if it hard work staying on line riding along any rough ground though. Get practising more it will come eventually, it's all about timing. steve1979
Hi trialsnutterman, thanks for that. I'll defiantly keep up the practice and i think i'll have a play around with the shock on the preload side like you have suggested. The pro's make it look so easy when they are hopping on top of obstacles trying to get the right position for there next jump etc, they seem to put in so little input but the bike hops around no problem. I would love to be able to do a fraction of that. practice practice practice Cheers, Steve Edited March 6, 2009 by steve1979
