b40rt
You should maybe buff the Husky motif off if you want it to look period ! Looking good. Edited May 12, 2009 by B40RT
pat
Thanks B40RT, Have never read about period defined by "parts from one brand/bike" actually, even concidering pur..... no part been changed since 65 . SSDT P65 regs is my bible so far, even if some thinks regs should be loosen up, I dont FYI, hubs + shields Husky 175cc 1956 cheers,
totalshell
nice looking bike and very interesting comparison of chin/sprokets weight. i'd have thought that if you turned up at kinlochleven with it you'd ride the first time but might be 'unlucky' in the draw for future rides. the husky bits although period (easily) dont fall easily into the description of 'british' in the regs.. pat
Thanks totalshell, Not much of a bike yet :-) A_al or Villiers carbs I do accept but dont understand, but are we seriously discussing; parts only manufactored within the UK as legal for UK P65 nationals or SSDT P65 set up? Guess not. Edited May 12, 2009 by Pat
pat
Hi, From last week..not proud of starting from T6 75mm diam to be honest...but like the result with radius 15mm instead of weld. http://i633.photobucket.com/albums/uu54/pa...t/manifold1.jpg http://i633.photobucket.com/albums/uu54/pa...t/manifold2.jpg http://i633.photobucket.com/albums/uu54/pa...t/manifold3.jpg http://i633.photobucket.com/albums/uu54/pa...t/manifold4.jpg http://i633.photobucket.com/albums/uu54/pa...ithmanifold.jpg Cheers,
b40rt
Very nice, how many hours ? You could try the macro setting on your camera for these sort of shots. Ross
pat
Thanks Ross, Manage terrible results with the cell phone cam, when I chose to spend more money on a P65 trials I have to buy some lathe operations actually becuase of time running out.. pat
Hi, Will ask for your opinion regarding oil for pre-unit pre-war engines. In my book a tot perfect rebuilt engine should be threated with multigrade fylly synt; less carbo, lubr ~even, but have received strictly advice from two reliable sources to use singlegrade mineral.. Yes, for trials gearboxes because of tooth pressaure and ..for better friction KTM 2-s trans because of the std clutch design or Rekluse for that matter.. But inside a fresh 4-s engine/comb chamber, no. Some said that seals might dislike "cleaning" additives in multigrade, the two seals for my crank are modern, fibre gaskets are from modern mtr.. But I dont know of.. *oil pump requirements *tolerances verses a modern engine, singlegrade "fill the space better"... *Bronze bush requirements As I understand most of you using synt for P65 and some serie is supported by an oil supplier. ________________________________________________________________________________ _____________________________________ Carbs, is Amal Concetric MK1 legal for P65, SSDTP65?
