Andy
I had a conversation with JD (of TMX fame) at the finish of the Scott about what makes folk want to put themselves through so much torture and physical pain and neither of us could figure it out. We both decided we're happier BEHIND the lens! It obviously hurts even the fittest so... what makes YOU do it?

overthehill
Because of the feeling you get riding through the gate and seeing the finish at the top of the hill - it
outlaw dave
congrats Andy on fabulous coverage of the event - we ran a Canadian Scott for many years in the 70's in Alberta. - Never did hear a complaint - takes a real enthusiast to want to do it but the reward is well worth it - you only live your Trials life once. Guest Scottie
Gary said after his 1st Scott that he would never enter it again. He had no skip on his helmet, no clutch, a back wheel in the shape of a fifty pence piece, broken mudguard, bent handle bars and that's only what I can remember. I vowed then I would never go back and watch him go through it again - I haven't. This is his third Scott and three days later his still complaining of aches and pains, but he'll be back for more next year. Thankfully, that's it for another year! Sandra Andy great photo's. The photo of Gary at the finishing line - I didn't realise he has such white teeth! Edited October 26, 2004 by Scottie

perce
Anyone know what bike rider No.82 David Cocker was riding? (2nd rider up the stream on the video) It's not a stream! It's basically a track where rocks have slid off the hillsides over the years & made quite a steady early section. It just shows how much water there was about. alan bechard
He was paying you a compliment Scottie. Not sure if you took it wrong, or maybe I am reading your post wrong. I think he was just making a point about how tough it and the people that ride it, are.
Guest Scottie
Maybe I did Alan. It's any mothers nightmare!! This year he only came off his bike three times on the moor! Sorry! Sandra
jrsunt
Why do we do it? Because it a bloody good thrash around and lots of fun, is there any other trial in the world that you can do that?
fanticisti
2001 Montesa - do you know him? No - not even sure if it was him 2nd up the "gulley/stream/ravine" on the video but it sure sounded like a four stroke, and I thought Amos was the only rider with tappets aboard?
