tilertrialler Posted March 13, 2009 Report Share Posted March 13, 2009 we always use to do it ,years ago on our outfit and never had a problem,dont do the valve up tight in case it slips.the only problem we had is when we tryed a tubed tyre on a tubless rim , didnot like that. pete_scorpa3 Posted March 13, 2009 Report Share Posted March 13, 2009 Tubless tyre on a tubless rim with a tube fitted 100% no problem. Simply remove the tyre, remove the valve, fit a tube and refit the tyre. Job sorted. I've used this method when I've had a puncture, then when you repair the tyre (or fit a new one) simply remove the tube and refit the valve. Always on modern bikes with tubeless rim and tubeless tyre. As he said..just wip the valve out, put the tube in, and off you go!
