neo
Hi All, There are a couple of Scores on the left side Crank shaft (that goes in to the magneto). I told it not too serious and easily fixed with a product like Loctite Bearing Mount between the Shafy and the inside ring of the bearing. Only trouble is I now read on that Husaberg site that side-way crank float is very important. And the Loctite will definitely restrict that movement. What do you think? Best of balance from the crazy man . Neo
feetupfun
Yes the crankshaft should be able to move within the bearing inner ring for thermal expansion so don't use Loctite bearing mount on it. Just because the bearing seat on the crankshaft is scored does not mean it will be a problem, provided any raised sections are removed. I would be concerned if there was scoring where the seal lips run as that would wear the seal lips out in no time.
copemech
Did I not previously mention the float issue, let it be!
