kwackerzak
I have just bought a Beta rev 3 with a bent brake pedal that is resting on the chain, that much that it is starting to wear through. Before I buy another one I would like to try and staighten it first. Will I be better off heating it up or just trying to bent it cold? copemech
From my experience, heat helps make the ali things give more than off cold, as they will easily crack. Be gentile! But you need good heat up to 5-600f, not just a hair drier!
husky
I straighten them by rubbing a bar of soap on the bent area, then heating it on the gas ring on the cooker[when the wife 's out].When the soap goes black its the right temp.Pick it up with pliers, its b.....y hot.
