sherpa
The 4T is the 1st four stroke Ive had since the TL125 years. Since then Ive had (still have) many sherpa t's and seven 2t's (only one now). Is the 4t better than the rest? I couldnt say. I liked them all. The 4t has strenghts in areas that the 2t lacked, and visa versa. I really like the 4t at this point, not because its better, but because its different. Will it help me improve my riding remains to be seen. But its gonna be a blast finding out. And im gonna sound really cool going up those hills. copemech
Having gone 2t 4t and back to 2t, if you want an easy starter its 2t every time. Dabster's Monty experience speaks volumes. The things are not without difficulty at times. All that is BS! From what I have seen, the other 4T's do just as well as the Mont in most cases. You either ride 4T or you don't. I have ridden enough 4T bikes in my lifetime nothing bothers me. All choice. Ask those pre 65 riders how they put their nickers on in the morning. scorpa4banger
Hi Lads I owned an 07 scorpa 4T and my old man has a repsol 4RT .. The scorpa was under developed at that time with the carb and always had a flat spot in bottom end but as far as the YZ motor was concerned it started 2nd kick every time and was very easy to start hot or cold and even if it was upside down under water after cleaning the water out it still kicked through .. It didnt have the R&D $ spent on it like the 4RT did by honda which isnt exactly scorpa's fault as they are a small company The 4RT is a great bike and starts really well hot or cold but the problem with that bike from experiance is if something goes wrong like my old mans fuel pump in the tank was over heating because the radiator fan wasnt pushing enough air and as the temp increased in the fuel pump the pressure to the injector dropped to 150kpa which then started the motor to cut out .. its very hard to fault find if something does go wrong not that it often does mind you because there are so many components to fail or have fault with. The sherco seems very close to beeing a great bike it just seems to me that even if you have to have a precise starting procedure it shouldnt be that hard to start .. they should have long before now factored in something to make the motor more robust and easy to start after all it is still a trials bike meaning you have to start them 20 or so times a trial .. I cant comment on the Beta because I havnt ridden one .. I just like the power response of a 2T it takes less effort to be precise in a section and just seems to take less energy to ride the same line with a 2T .. thats my opinion anyway cheers
