quick question folks, can the GasGas 80 Rookie be started in gear by holding in the clutch - just like 'most' bikes ?

My lads Beta 50 4 speed is a pain, if you hold in the clutch in gear the kickstart just free wheels and you can't turn the engine over unless you go into neutral can you believe it, someone actualy must have designed it that way FFS.

Whoever designed it needs their a*** kicking.

TXT 80 Rookie 2005.

It sure can, I often start it with my right hand with the clutch in it saves kicking my boy off the bike if it's in an awkward position!

We've had the bike about a year and a half and I can't fault it, easy for him to start, loads of soft power, it rev's like a chainsaw and is very light.

My boy is now a tall 10 and it's a perfect fit.

Nick.

ive got my daughter a rev 50 its a real pain to find newtral ,guttless power too

but im gonna get her to start it in bottom gear with no clutch and just ride off they are so low geared and easy to start

why not give that a try for the short term

ive heard thar the gasgas txt 50 can be started in gear tho

the medium wheel bikes arnt up to much really

im toying with the idea of fitting my sons ty80 engine into the rev50 frame when he grows a bit

that ty80 engine is a cracking unit good power ,torque ,gears ,clutch ect
