dk_fire
Hi Guys... I am from Denmark and found this great forum, where it seems like there is help for everything Just bought a Gas Gas 280 03', it is a great bike, but my problem is that i always have been driving MX so dont know so mouch about trials.... When i ride it and a bit up in rpm's and ex. on flat ground where it doesen't have to pull (mayby not the right word for it) it has a knocking sound, but not on hills etc. where it pulls. If it was all the time and it was an mx bike, i would say the the connecting rod bearing was broke...... Is this normal ????? Hope you can understand what i am trying to explaine Peter / Denmark Edited May 3, 2009 by DK_Fire
mikee
Sounds like you need a new piston and replate.
laser1
Are you sure its not just 4 stroking? Thats common with these bikes if there running rich under partial throttle w/no load. I had a 280 02 edition that would ping under long partial throttle or extended high loads, turned out to be a fuel restriction. Was fine just putting around in sections.
