boofont Posted November 7, 2004 Report Share Posted November 7, 2004 Thinking of getting my wheels re-spoked over the winter. Can anybody suggest a company that will do them and a rough cost? g4321 Posted November 8, 2004 Report Share Posted November 8, 2004 Mr B It can be done locally - John at North East used to do it - also there is a small bike shop in Aberdeen which can help. It aint that difficult, there are some good guides on the web, although pushbike related, the principles are exactly the same. Central Wheel Company will supply spokes to your specification (there are numerous other suppliers) How did you get on on your travels? g4321 Posted December 2, 2004 Report Share Posted December 2, 2004 There are also a couple of possibilities in Aberdeen - i heard on the grapevine that the bike shop in Jopps Lane may be able to help, I cant remember the name of the other shop off hand - its not one of the main dealers - 'Jim Hay' rings a bell but I am not 100% sure if that is the name or not.
