triage
Hello everyone, Just wanted some advice on Sherco's regarding a 250 and 290 model. Not sure which I want to buy yet but currently have a 250 Beta and just feel like something different. Ive heard that the Sherco's are easy to work on and that the fuel consumption on the 250's is excellet which helps with long laps. Does anyone know what the fuel consumption is like with the 290's? At the moment there are more 290's for sale than 250's This question may have been asked before but some help would be great! Ta
bikemad
Ihave a 250 sips fuel ,put some in not filled to top,did approx 3hrs practise ,went onto reserve at end,not bad i would say. micm
I think they are easy to work on. Basic stuff on a rev 3 looks harder to me. Fuel comparison is hard but if it is any help, a 290 Sherco seems better, using a bit less juice per hour than a 270 Rev 3, at least when riding southern UK climbs. copemech
I would not expect a lot of difference between the two, but the 250 is the fave for a normal clubman rider. Sweet!
tony27
290 has bit more bottom end power than 250 so they probably sell 4 to 1 over here. Been a while since I've had a 250 but 290's have always been good on gas, can do a full national level event on a tank easily & would generally be last to fuel up when out trailriding with other trials bikes Really comes down to the type of rider you are & where you ride
