craftypiggy
They do this purposely so if your in a section and need to change gear you don't get neutral, of if youre climbing a hill and need to change.
rlracer
My 04 270 shifts fine and is easy to get in nutral running or not. They are not made to be difficult to get in nutral. How is your cluch ? Does it drag ?
neonsurge
My 270 is a bugger to get into neutral while the engine is running, except when banging it down into 1st in the middle of a section when it seems to be able to find neutral just fine With the engine off it slips into neutral as easy as you like. Go figure. Edited November 8, 2004 by neonsurge
wayneg
Try adjusting your clutch a little bit - sometimes the clutch will not fully disengage because the clutch plates are a bit worn etc. This worked a treat on my '00 Rev3. pete250
Likewise been struggling with mine. Change the oil everything is fine but after about the first lap onwards it becomes impossible to get into neutral or through the next gear when standing still. No drag when running and changes gear fine on the move!
betafan
Late model Beta clutches are very good. But you can improve them further. I scape the excess glue from between the 'fibre' segments on the plates. Works beautifully - will click into gear when cold, no drag and perfect shifts. It's worth the hour.
