markmaltby
Not sure iff this post is in the right forum but here goes. Bearing in mind my inexperience riding a trials bike im suffering from really bad handache after about 15 minutes and have to stop and rest them. I work in enginering so i consider myself to have reasonably strong hands but they are quite small and i find the levers quite a stretch. Are there any levers available that are adjustable for reach but still allow the same amount of cable travel ? Cheers Mark

brokeback
Hi If you are using a bike with cable operated clutch/ brake I think you will find that you will always have quite a heavy action especially on the clutch. When I rode in the mid eighty's I used to lengthen the arm on the clutch on the engine a little to lighten the force needed to operate it but from memory when one finger to operate both levers became popular it was just a matter of lots of practice that built up your strength to pull them in with one finger I used to use one of those z spring hand exercisers to help when I was not on the bike. Good luck Edited June 7, 2009 by brokeback
