Mintex Trial

Sad to hear but I gather that some excluded riders were convinced they had ridden sections and been missed as a crowd of riders rushed through. Is Richard Sadler OK??? It was reported that he thought he had Broken his Wrist but still managed to finish.

I originally asked about the mintex - I have heard a lot of talk since starting this forum - mostly very positive about the fantastic organisation and the great time had by the riders who took part. I've also heard a few complaining about the fact that if local riders are party to the course prior to the event what is the point of attending as you have great difficulty beating this when they so clearly know where they are going - an obvious advantage on the time.

These are just niggles but I can see the point. The amended results have obviously caused a lot of specualtion, perhaps Richmond should clear this up once and for all.

I hope it continues in the future as it sounded such a great event my son would like to have a go in the future!

The local riders ride on local terrain which is used for club trials, Gerald Simpson etc, the reeth 3 day and of course the scott trial. I know that the man(and boy)power required to cover the scott setting out, picking up, manning sections (3 x 70 odd) involves many people riding the courses/area many times. It will never be a completely level playing field but I am sure its as fair as it can be and would doubt if any of the competitors had "ridden" the course. Its a bit like saying its unfair for Jarvis to compete because his won 7 times and knows where he is going?
