johnelka
this week i bought a scorpa ty 175, very nice bike. i have not had chance to go out yet ,will do tomorrow.i have had a play out back the house and find some times it hesitates and stalls. is this because it is'nt warmed up properly or does the carb need cleaning. Rode one for about 18 months, and really enjoyed it. There are some pretty standard carb mods (jetting, etc.) that I don't remember the details on, but search through the old posts, and you will find them. Also, open up your exhuast silencer, and you will find a perforated tube running through the packing. Look in the tube, and you will find a series of solid rods, Drill those out, so that you are left with only the perforated tube, and then reassemble your silencer. Very slight noise increase, but much improved performance, with the carb mods. Edited July 28, 2009 by DGShannon

I had one for about 18 months, fantastic little bike, mine got me round the ssdt and never missed a beat all week. If I had the money I would buy another as a second bike.
