theshercorider
I may have found a thing that could cause it, it seems to add up. A few weeks ago I disasembled the throttle cable bit next to the carb. Well I may have put it back together wrong, you see i put the needle on top of the gold piece instead of underneath, so this would mean the needle could stick up when the slide is down causing problems. I hope this is the problem as it is a nice cheap fix

copemech
Try doing it the other way then? Then get back to us...Dont be afraid to fiddle! 2k8, This is what happens when you kids fiddle! And do not take notes! A learning experience! Bad thing is, not being able to hear it run, separating out a fuel or ignition problem is just madness! But now you have most all the highpoints, just try not to overlook anything.

zippy
Sometimes the easiest fixes drives one the craziest...............My riding lawnmower was having all kinds of weird problems, stalling, would stall if brake was released, stall if tried to use the blades........after 3 days of fiddling and swearing, it turned out all it needed was a new battery!! Good to hear it is fixed ENJOY!!!!!
shercoman2k8
Sounded like a fuel issue... was it like when your tanks about to run dry? Anyway, congrats on the fix!

I hope this is the problem as it is a nice cheap fix 10/10 for persevering but next time best get together with an older and wiser mate (..or your local dealer.) At least now you have a clean exhaust and carb, and can take it apart with your eyes closed. MC is correct. Thanks for sharing your pain, so others could gain, but please refrain (from starting a thread the way you did) lest we turn insane! copemech
I have refrained from this, as it is a learning experience you see, as hopefully others on this site may benifit. It can be touchy ground here, I always try to double ck myself!!!!!!!! Nothing wrong with that! Glad he has told the tale, as others may have not.
