West End is directly opposite the Parc Ferme, probably has the liveliest Trial atmosphere on a night of anywhere in FW. Stayed there once & it was ok, food was certainly better than anything I'd had in the Alex or the Cruachan. I think you'll need a hire car unless you get up early on a morning & like a bit of walking. I don't think it's difficult to clock up 600 miles following the ssdt for a week.
