How Do The Shercos Hold Up When Mis-used?

Hey guys. I'm looking for a bike that won't overheat on long rides up logging roads, my GG 280 txt used to overheat in about 3 km or less.

The montesa 4rt has been highly suggested, but I would also like to hear from some guys who have experience using a sherco like this.

Thanks for any input

Jay

Mine went well in the SSDT, I only topped the radiator up once and I don't think it really needed it but it's good to be sure.

But you can't go flat out down the road with them for too long mainly due to the carburettor been set up for trials rather than roads.

Carburettors on trials bikes tend to be jetted to lean for continuous flat trail or road work, you could swap the jets but it wouldn't run right in the sections then, I tend to use the choke on the road just to richen the mixture up a bit, this is why the 4rt is good on the road as it is fuel injected so it sorts out the mixture to suit the conditions.
