scorpy
Hello i have a 04 beta the rear shock has started to leak badly, lost most of the oil now. Is there someone out there that has had there shock repaired or had a exchanged one from Lamkins, i have gone onto Lampkins web site looks like the exchange ones are about
nzralphy
Gosh that is a lot. I purchased a shock rebuild kit nz$45 and 2 shock bearings nz $80 and had it rebuilt by a shock expert nz$160 and it was good after that. You should be able to find a shock expert by asking at your local motorcycle shop. Ask for a specialist in off road shocks
anyoldiron
Compared to the price of a new shock thats well over half price. If you can find someone who will recondition it for less, good for you. I don't think you are being tight but loads of things seem way expensive,as if money doesn't have much value right now.But anyway, get the best you can afford.Might be worth calling some of the big name shock experts like Falcon ,see what their price is,or go local like Ralphy says.I would always have faith in Lampkins.Expensive business throwing motorcycles at rocks, worth every penny if you ask me. scorpy
Hi thanks for your replys iam affraid this is getting worse, have taken shock off and noticed that the bottom of the shock mount is cracked right along lower face, i guess its going to be a new shock "****e happens". If i a need new rear shock is trp shocks ok as they seem to be cheaper than paioli. Cheers. Edited August 23, 2009 by scorpy
anyoldiron
I would still try Lampkins on an exchange basis. It may not be an issue(the crack)to them and they might exchange it anyway.
theshercorider
My shock died recently on my sherco, couldn't find anything second hand so went to buy new and found that a standard shock is more expensive then the likes of ohlins and trp. So I ended up spending
