as iow Posted December 2, 2004 Author Report Share Posted December 2, 2004 Which one of the clubs recomended would you say is the most enthusiastic towards youth riders, do thay send out regular programs and which ones run the hardest trials? On the Island our youth riders ride in the class according to there ablity because there is such a hugh differance between the national class rider and the average club youth. As a rule Lynton will always put on a good hard trial with streams as its core terrain. Mortonhampstead trials can also be resonably hard with mainly rocks. My son also rides nationals and this year will ride the hard route in the south west. Anything below centre championship may or may not be hard enough. But in general will be! Last Sundays trial was not the normal severity. The torridge club members include Ben Price Kyle Jacobs Alex Bland Ross Hancock Keelan Hancock Ricky Wiggins & Blair Rodber are members of Yeo Vale club At present these are the only youth riders who compete the national championships Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

We will be trying to fit in all the trials that don't clash with the british championships, and the Y.M.S.A events that will allow C class riders to take part. as iow Posted December 8, 2004 Author Report Share Posted December 8, 2004 The IOWMCC trial this Sunday is being run as a normal club trial, we had several proplems along the way, but everything is now being put in place for next year including the ferry sponsorship. If we expect people to come and ride on the island we have to make shore we put on somthing extra good so that thay will want to come back, we just ran out of time with this years Charity trial so sorry.A deal has been reached with RED Funnel ferries who will be sponsoring the Wight Two day trial in april, the Sammy Miller round in September and The British youth A/B and C/D rounds in October. furthermore there will be a charity indoor trial on the night of the Two day trial, and a invitation youth indoor trial on the Saturday night of the A/B round with steve saunders helping as C of Course. as iow Posted December 9, 2004 Author Report Share Posted December 9, 2004 The 2005 Two day trial will be run by the same wild bunch that put on last years Charity trial, the arena trial and the C/D national, so expect some big changes.
