brian_damage
Hello everybody, new member here. Located North Derbyshire, England. Not far from Hawks Nest. Am busy restoring the 325 Sherpa I could not afford when I was young(er). I got one about 3 years ago in several boxes and 1 bucket which contained the crank, and a gallon of ...........water. But hey, the barrel was rebored and was complete with new piston and rings. This is going to be easy, isn't it?? Anyway, usual story, work and sleep get in the way and it's taken til now to get on with it. Got the engine together with all new bearings, seals and said rebore. A bit of a job as I'm more used to Jap bikes with circlips and the like to locate bearings not a blowlamp and mallet!! Pop the engine in the loosley assembled chassis and guess what? Third kick and we're away, runs like a dream and sounds crisp despite the 34mm Mikuni it came with being a bit big. Chain on, and round the field. 5 gears all work. The motor is now coming out for the chassis to be fettled, so I'll be asking loads of dumb questions in the Bultaco section. I'll try and post a picture or two as well. Cheers
brian_damage
With any luck this should be the "kit" [img=http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/kk205/parkes1/Bikes/Bultaco007.jpg] And the rest of it (no tightened bolts!)
