houseape1000
I've found a txt270 contact for sale, looking through the museum I think its 1998-99 but am not sure. The engine is painted red as on earlier JTX, someone could have painted it though... Firstly - Are they any good. - How is the power delivery Availability of parts, I have a 96 scorpa and this guy will part x, I think for little cash... Is the gasser any better than the scorpa, I am aware that on a gasser forum I can predict the answer to this but Ive been told you are an honest bunch..... Thanks, Andy. peterb
Hi Andy, The old 270 was ok in its day, a bit more go than the 250 though I think the 250 was an easier bike to ride with a more linear power delivery. Check in the UK for parts availablilty, getting old now. It would be a lot lighter than your Scorpa and probably more competetive. Check for worn linkage bearings, dragging clutch (plates swollen or master/slave seals leaking), leaking fork seals, motor does not usually rattle, otherwise all ok. Bye, PeterB.
