5again
I know that at championship levels 125's are now mandatory for youths, I believe 13 and up, however for non championship youth club trials, AMCA, ACU or YMSA, can 14 year olds run a 250 ? (as I believe they used to) thanks
telecat
All ACU trials usually insist on 125's due to insurance. The AMCA and YMSA trials NYL has done have usually been 125 as well.
big john
Correct, running an youth on an over-capacity bike in any event invalidates the insurance cover. I know larger/well built youths are capable of handling bikes in excess of 125cc, but when it all goes wrong and sadly sometimes this happens, we all need the insurance cover. fellonmelug
A class and B class can only ride a bike with an engine less than 125cc , A rider becomes B class the next calender year following his/her 12th birthday and becomes A class the year after his/her 15th birthday
