The advert says 1984 but I suspect it's later? I don't know much about these Betas and wonder how they compare to monoshock bikes of similar vintage (Fantic 305, TY mono etc)? The 199cc is great trail bikes, 400cc a bit top heavy. This looks to me like a Beta 240 Supertrial with a big seat, never seen an Alp with USD forks, and the LH view show the Beta engine clearly. The Beta Alp goes back MUCH further than the current model, with Suzuki engines. Older ones were 2-strokes, and leaned a lot further toward their trials roots, than what is being produced today. The older model Beta Alp, and Gas Gas Pampera, were sort of half way between trials bike, and trail bike, much like the old Bultaco Alpina was, in relation to the Sherpa.
