max1956bikes
i may be wrong but looks like standard hubs front and back from approx 1950 matchless road bike to me.but the forks i have no idea.the yokes are simular to road bike as well is top one steel painted to look like alloy ? looking at forks again are they standard as well as they have bottom mudgaurd mounts, and perhaps moddied for trials mudgaurd. i may be completly wrong so please dont shout at me. brumbie59
mmm, thanks for that it's made me look twice. The hz 'bar' below spindle on cap is consistant with AMC. I was thinking this model should have a LHS 7" drum, but I guess an 8" RHS drum would be reasonable for a 50ish rigid frame. The only ?? is the forks, so many lugs are they AMC?. totalshell
if they are standard i'll eat my hat! Andy Hesketh is a well respected engineer and has a number of well developed bikes, he makes forks, yokes, brake arms etc etc. his business phone number is on the sticker on the fork leg.. brumbie59
Thanks for the pointer totalshell, however the picture resolution doesn't allow me to zoom in on number and Googling has shed no light. I don't mind doing the leg work but if you had a little more info' it would be helpful. Ta muchly.
