wayne_weedon
Saw a thread on the Todotrial site about Ossa Variants, and these interested me. Now I knew about the rare 303 TR80 bikes but what's the story behind these? Ever make it into even small scale production? Possibly rendered images of not existant models? Whats going on at the rear of the swinging arm? and a tiny Gripper? Looks like a Minerelli Engine? Wayne.... feetupfun
The top two look like they have a rear disc brake that uses the sprocket as the brake disc
ianpr
I have seen the back disc/sprocket used on a racing kart many years back but I would think you would get a lot of chain lube on the disc brake surface The other things which caught my eye are the very long carb induction tube & the unusual exhaust - presumably a low end 'torque/grunt' tuning method - There was a South African champ years ago who used a 'de-tuned' TY175 with an extra plenum on the exhaust whic was presumubaly a method of modifying the exhaust timing Any ideas on what the exhaust is about? Ian Well of course the Grippers always had quite a torturously routed pipe + the two alloy cans. I really must attend to my own grippers, but one job at a time (get real!) Wayne..... wayne_weedon
Did they ever get into production? I think maybe not. I know a few 303's have shown up, and there was that other derivative the Tuyo trail bike. Never seen an example of the latter, but maybe one in a Spanish collection somewhere. Who knows! Wayne.....
