Where or which is the cheapest place to get a trials lid. I have looked on ebay and other places. and too be frank I have not spent that much money on my road bike lid.

Dont mind looking a c@ck as fashion is not my thing. I just want to be legit. I have an old MX lid would I get away with cutting the chin gaurd off? Are Lids inspected or is it pretty lax?

Its a pain but you only get one head! It used to be that helmets were checked for acu approval however I think all motorcycle crah helmets have to be to a standard which satisfies all clipboards and insurance companies. In forty odd years of trialing I have been refused a start only once 2 years ago in France ..apparantly there is a date code which scrutineer there looks for I guesse the ideal being that straps etc get weak with age. I'm sure somebody has eaten the rule book and will give you definitive rqts.

I've never been that fussy about trials helmets, there are still pics of me on the wall riding without one.But the lid I have now is a Hebo one very similar to the Airoh one shown above, best helmet I've ever worn - light, comfy and airy when its hot.best of all theliner comes out so you can wash it.I bought it from BVM,think it was about
