ikb
The Cota from hell has unleashed a new fault, the Flywheel boss is ever so slightly loose! I can feel a bit of rotational play only between the steel boss and the outer. Will it sort of rivet tight again using a punch and hammer??? Does anyone know the method of contruction of these?? Will a Motoplat flywheel of another bike fit? perhaps a 248 349 of similar age or even Bultaco or Ossa and would balancing be an issue? The part number on mine is 063025 6V40/9/21W33. Thanks Ian
wayne_weedon
Nasty! It might tighten up on the rivets again. You could also try some High Strength retainer (Loctite 603 or 640 The green stuff!) to lock it up again. This stuff is really the dogs doodahs especially if you can get it to pull into the joint with a little heat. Wayne...
stork955
Gday, failing that, have a look here - http://www.hpi.be/universalignition.htm They have a rotor "sizing" guide that you might be able to crossreference to your rotor and get a new one from something. Heaps of stuff in that site. Cheers, Stork
vintagecota
It's a different number, but one from any 123 or 172 should work. A 242 will work too, and it's electronic. Take your pick. edit: maybe I'm thinking of a 304... Edited October 9, 2009 by vintageCota

ikb
Sorted Drilled & tapped on the join between the steel middle and ally outer and scewed in grubscrews with a bit of locktite seems ok now, had to do it in a miller so the drill didint run off into the ally. vintagecota
That will work too. You mean you don't have a selection of NOS parts on the shelf?GGG spudsdad, the 335 was electronic, but the rotor is on the other side with that engine being based on the 247, while the 200 was based on the 123 (or 74cc)
