kakeypig
I have posted on here before about this but just thought I'd see if anyone else can help?! I have checked the oil in the glass sighting level and it looks to be full, although the oil looks quite thick - does anyone know if the thickness of the oil could cause problems with the gears? 1st and 2nd are ok, but 3rd gear is very difficult to get into and sticks. My worry also is that the oil looks very clean, so the former owner might have had a problem with this himself and not told me. Failing the problem being the oil mixture, is there anything else that anyone can suggest? My last option is to dismantle the gearbox altogether and rebuild it (though I am such a novice at this that it may not be a good idea?! Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot
stork955
Gday, try using ATF in the 'box. It might help, and its cheap compared to rebuilding if it works. I take it there are no weird noises, other issues etc associated with it? Cheers, Stork
