Hi, can somebody please point me in the right direction.

I am about to apply for an acu license, and need to know if I need a club to sign the forms, although I haven't joined one yet.

The other thing is, does the license run for 12 months from date of purchase, or do they have a regular start/ finish date, say Jan to Jan.

Do I really need one to attend practice areas.

I have seen the old threads on the subject and I am still a little confused about who needs paying and for what....

The way I see it is. I download the acu registration form and send it back to them with a cheque for

Licence runs from Jan to Jan mate, you do need to join a club first so they can stamp and sign the ACU form. If you cant get to meeting before the New Year give a local club a call and ask if you can post the form to them with your memebership and they will post onto the ACU for you. Club fees for the year do very but usually about a tenner, never been asked for a licence for practice anywhere though so I'd say you wont need one. Trials on Boxing day,New Years day, prob more on over the winter than any other time so plenty about. Never quite seen the point of having to join a club first though? just makes the getting a licence a whole lot more tricky and hassle

Good luck

No problem, I will collect the 2010 renewals until the Ralph Varden Centre Trial at the begining of Dec, then I'll send them all off at once by registered post to the ACU. I usually send about 40 in one go around that time of year, the rest slowly drift in as people remember they haven't done it.

Any that arrive for 2009 will be sent off immediately of course.
