budgetracer
Hi, just joined the forum after buying a TY175 (which has turned out to be a bit of a lemon!!) haven't helped by dropping the bike while pushing it up the ramp into my transit. the gear lever has smashed the generator cover!! are they like the proverbial hens teeth, can they be repaired. I did see a bike on ebay a few weeks back which appeared to have a carbonfibre cover just over the round section of the casing? any help would be greatly appreciated. ittybits
Chris, Normally this cover can be welded. Ed
alan_nc
You can take if off and get it welded or just use JB Weld. Holds great, just doesn't look good. Most folks that ride Trials regularly have JB Weld somewhere on their cases. Alan
tony27
I seem to remember 1 of the french sites do carbon covers & a few other pieces, do a search & see what you come up with
feetupfun
If you intend to get it welded eventually, don't use plastic metal filler, epoxy or silicone sealant on the hole or your weld repair will take more labour to complete due to having to get rid of all the gunk before the welding can start.
