dougalthedog
Can anyone help? The online parts diagrams that are available on the web are all based on TY350 (US). whilst 99% of parts are the same i'm struggling with the internal fork bushes. On the parts diagram it only shows the lower bush (part number 30X-23125-00-00) all the mono forks i've ever stripped have had another smaller bush which is located slightly higher on the inner fork - looking for a part number so I can order some. roester
Try this link: http://www.tytrials.co.uk/ They have got a parts diagram, although not with parts numbers. They sell the upper bushes you need (which are the ones that normally wear). Hope this helps, Alan
dougalthedog
Alan Cheers for the reply. I'd already worked out that the parts diagram actually shows the upper bushes rather than the lower ones (although the diagram is a little confusing) . Apparently the lower ones are not listed seperately by Yamaha for the TY250 Mono (they are sold as part of the fork leg), although after speaking to a friend who is a fountain of knowledge on vintage Yamaha Motocross bikes this is not unusual. Sometimes the lower bushes are listed as specific items and other times as part of the fork leg - I need to find another Yamaha model that uses the same size lower bushes to get a part number. To be honest I've already ordered a set of upper bushes and I think the lowers will be ok for now. Interesting variation in price - there was over 40% difference in price between two well known suppliers ?? Many thanks for the response. roester
No problem Tim. I didn't realise the lower bushes are not available separately. One of mine has got a bit of wear on it although is fine for now. If you ever find that bush available separately, perhaps for another bike I would be grateful of the part number/supplier. I've been buying quite a lot for my TY mono in recent weeks and have found Birkett Motosport good on prices. Nigel not only helped develop the bike and knows everything about them, but also has some cheaper parts. For example the swinging arm chain slider is listed at nearly
