315 Front Disc And Bobbins

I was worried about the play on mine when I got it so I bought some new bobbins from BVM. They've helped a bit but there's still quite a bit of play. I've stopped worrying about it because I only notice it if I'm in the garage doing a bit of balance practice - riding I never give it a thought.

Standard play is listed in the owner's manual as .3 to 1 mm, with a service limit of 2mm - a lot. I had mine apart this spring and it looked like the disc wears as much as the bobbins; you may have to replace both if you want to make it quiet. That said the play shouldn't affect the brake performance, if anything too much play is better than none.

thanks for the replies

im gonna give the bobbins a go see what that does

i had a husaberg supermoto a while ago and that had a lot of play on a berringer disc but i was never as subtle with that brake

must spend less time being critical in the garage i think
