Rear Brake Lever Problems

Hi Guys,

I have just replaced the rear brake lever on my '04 rev 3. The brake works very well, just that the lever seems to bind against the frame. If the bolt is left loose enough for the lever to spring back to where its ment to be there is too much "slop" and it can move over against the chain. If done up tight then it does not move freely, it binds against the frame.

Is there a spacer that i am missing?, or should the bearing be sticking out more on one side than the other?

The new lever had to be "tweaked" so as to let the chain move freely past it! I think the mounting lug on the frame is slightly bent, which obviously wont be helping the situation.

Any help/ ideas much appreciated
