my 13 year old also thought the BOU video was awesome -

Now "non-stop" - the only places where non stop seems to be still in use is north yorkshire. The vast majority of trials use stop permitted, and yes there are the odd riders who do hop and bop about. However the vast majority have to use several skills and techniques to get through a section and not just hold on tight, keep your feet on the pegs or paddle your way through and hope for the best, which seems to be what non-stop is about. Yes it may be a generation thing but the youths are the life blood of any sport and by harping back to the good old days of getting on your twin shock putting on your flat cap and riding a bobbly river bed are not what todays youth want. They want the trials they do to be fun with variety not the same thing section after section after section.

Why not compromise and have some that can be ridden non stop - keeping this section of the trials community happy but also some where you have to manoevre the bike, balancing and hopping. It does not have to be a five for stopping - it is so demoralising.
