When I had the plate made up for my Morini 500 I had them turn the plate 90 degrees and do it on 3 rows with the Year suffix on it's own line at bottom centre. Never had any issues with it on the road or at mot's So guess it's acceptable. I did it because it basically looks better on that bike. Wayne....
