totalshell
climate change is real the planet is getting warmer.. do the actions of 8 billion people have an impact on that? well years before man stood tall the ice melted and retreated to the poles.. years before man soemthing killed virtually every living thing on the planet years before the motorcar every home had a coal fire or we burnt anything we could find to cook and keep warm all carbon fuels and yet the earth at that point got colder now ice is melting like ice cream in july and its all our fault.. and the best way to stop it is to tax the be jesus out of frequent flyers and car users.. handily forgetting to use that money raised to do anything to repair the damaged caused. in year y2k we were all destined to be killed at midnight by falling planes computers mutating and toasting expolding and guess what.. in 1969 we landed on the moon and we were all supposed to be holidaying there come y2k.. i went to brighton.. in y2k we were all supposed to be staying at home with loads of liesure time while robots did the work... bang on 3m unemployed and even the robots have been laid off in car plants.. and yet the world is dominated by the actions of people in the most deprived inhospitable enviroment on earth .. afganistan and gaza

ham2
If they're doing less work then there should be a proportional cut in their funding from the tax-payer...phew.. a win-win situation for the public.

It's a government run organization right??? So the formula is this: Less work = more taxes.

slapshot 3
If only, as a government agency we generate our own revenue, through discretionary and non discretionary government contracts and commercial work so no the less work = more taxes equation fall flat this time round. Just because they've stopped with the Barbie summer nonsense these models are still running, the work goes on, just less emphasis in making the Met Office look a complete cock in the public domain!!
