sundance1
New to Montesa. I have a 1998 315r which I have not taken out to play with yet. So far, 1 foot of snow is on the ground and I think it will stick around until mid April! Just wondering what a typical length of time or distance is for a 2 litre tank of gas riding it "moderately"? I will be trail riding mostly, in the back woods at the cottage. Thank you
geeman
If I remember from my 315 days ,I think you have a reserve position on the fuel pet cock valve . So you can ride until the main supply is used (and determine time or distance ) then switch to the reserve and ride back to your fuel supply. I also seem to remember riding for a couple of hours without running out . Hope this helps !! Gordon
tt5th
I've got a '99 and it doesn't have a reserve position so check before setting off! I reckon I can run for 2 to 3 hours on a tank depending on the workload.

Thanks for the replies. 2hrs will be more than adequate....my wife does not let me stray for more than 1 hr in any case Edited December 15, 2009 by sundance1
