dang2407
Went out for the 1st time on my Rev 3 yesterday and noticed it was very noisy compared to the other bikes - makes a noise like an old open class 2-stroke mx'er... The rear silencer been recently re-packed with what looks like the close-fibred loft insulation. Is this the best stuff to pack it with? How about the mid-section of the pipe? I see that has silencer type baffle tube in it. Is that repackable? My mid section feels rather heavy like it's gummed up with 2-stroke oil... the addict
I always used the precut sections from BVM Moto to repack the silencer, worked well and quite easy to do. You dont want to stuff it jam packed though,it has to be snug and in as much of the box as you can get. Buy the proper stuff, its not expensive and do it every 3 months or so, clean the baffle with a wire brush whilst your at it and sealing the silencer with silicone also helps.
