copemech
Sounds snappy! His may be tweaked a bit! By Paxau?
john.b
Not sure it's his bike Copemech, could it be the bike from the show or if not one of the first bikes delivered in to the country, as they are due this week.
manx2day
Sounds powerful. If it is the standard bike with no mods then it should be a strong engine. I do like it when he's asked to "do a flick turn?!" and he just does it! Oh the envy!
trialsuk
Yes thats a bog standard 290 straight out of the box. Michaels bike comes next week when Paxau has done his magic on it. It has a very throaty sound which is amplified by the fact that it draws its air in near the headstock now. He was amazed at the lightness and how much smaller it seemed. There are 2 working bikes in the UK which are now at our friends BVM for their open day. Hopefully next week we may start getting the first bikes through which will be 290's in the first batch. To answer the question about the tank breather, its situated under the mudguard near the filling cap and incorporates a uni-directional breather valve. There was no problem at all with fuel starvation even with bike at 90 degrees vertical. Personally i was amazed how easy i managed to flick the front and rear round and also balancing it and i'm a lowly old novice who falls off for fun. Can't wait til we have one on demo !! baldilocks
If you want rocks then take a look at the Cabestany video in the other post. Cabestany does look good on the new bke but he looked good on the 4t and I thought they were awful. I'd like to see Michael testing it properly to see how he gets on with it.
