philswiv Posted December 21, 2004 Report Share Posted December 21, 2004 Ah, well, while we're on the subject of '97 Technos. How much (and what grade) fork oil does it need? AND - although all the rear wheel spacers seem present and correct, the side wall of the tyre is chaffing the silencer. I'm currently shimming it out with washers from the local engineering shop and I still havn't got it quite right! Any ideas? pete250 Posted December 23, 2004 Report Share Posted December 23, 2004 Phil I dont know if this will solve your problem but on my Techno I found that the rear exhaust rubber mounting rubber was to blame ( the one that connects to the frame and has a nut inside).
