Among the things that broke, the crankshaft snapped in half. Having been paying off my student debt mountain, i haven't been overly rushed to fix it, but i now spy on ebay (here) a 94 techno 250 is being broken up, and the crankshaft is going relativity cheap (Beta UK want circa Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
stork955 Posted December 20, 2009 Report Share Posted December 20, 2009 Gday, according to my Beta parts manuals the 2 cranks have different numbers. It may pay to check with a dealer to see if the 99 crank supercedes the earlier one. The pictures look similar which means nothing of course. Which part of the crank is broken? You need to check it out with John Lampkin (he aint a bad sort & he will surely help you out re identification problems) I think ther was no change untill the Evo models but thats just think . Neccesity being the mother of invention you need to understand what is what for yourself. I'm have to admit i'm in no way mechanically minded, but my old man is (but not very computer minded at all) - so we get there in the end.
