I used to ride a 99 Cota 315 but I havent trialed for a good 7 years now, i did up until i was about 13-14 but unfortunately had to give it up for a weekend job! Great compromise right! Anyway, im looking at starting up again sometime next year, need to do a bit of saving first to get hold of a few necessesities, like a bike and some new gear because i sold all of it when the Montesa had to go. Anyway, im thinking of getting a Sherco 2.9 about 2004ish. If anybody knows of anything going or anywhere to cheap gear, would be interested to hear from you. Virtually a trial on every month throughout the year and 50 quid practice membership so you can go there whenever you like. Very well run club and always plenty of entries, not sure what level you got to at schoolboy but they put on at least 4 routes these days. Earl Shilton Trials Club Think theres a practice day on the 27th (look on site) maybe worth going along and see if you can scrounge a go on a few bikes, someone may even have one for sale there. tomnprice Posted December 21, 2009 Author Report Share Posted December 21, 2009 I got to a reputable level, never quite braved the concrete slab section but i managed most other areas with a few foot steps along the way. Just as i was starting to get the hang of things i had to leave though unfortunately. I broke my leg a year or two later though so need to see how i cope with that but fingers crossed it shouldnt be too much of a problem. Is there an area on the site regarding anywhere local that sells clothing and helmets, etc? i think that will be my first step to get the old dear on my side, my leg was broken in a motorbike accident so shes not too pleased but hay ho. the addict Posted December 21, 2009 Report Share Posted December 21, 2009 Tom, theres a spares company (cant remember name) at every trial ESTC runs and I'm pretty sure they do clothing. I'll have a look on the site and see if I can find them as I expect they're based localish. Have a go on a few bikes on the 27th as there sould be many makes and years to choose from, you might think Sherco now but something else may fit the bill better once you've had a go.
