BTW to be named as a Timekeeper you have to be an offical licenced ACU one hence The Scott only has Time Marshal. are you sure - the timekeeper bit is all for timing racing (ie road race, enduro and mx, etc) where accuracy to 100th of a second is needed, etc - looking at the handbook for accuracy of less than 1 second no licence is needed (p64 2009 handbook). IMHO the page needs a rewrite to cover the advent of electronic timing in mx and enduro not just road race, but it should be irrelevant to trials (no one has ever it seams written the rules down for a special test....). pete_scorpa3 Posted January 6, 2010 Report Share Posted January 6, 2010 The most important thing is that the same clock is used at the start and after the last section and that each rider can clearly see the clock when they get to the last section. It's frustrating to walk a section, then queue up, then ride it to find that the timekeeper is using his wrist watch and you're a minute over!
