Get new packing (from your dealer) remove silencer head caps, I think you will need drill to remove those rivets, then slide caps away, take all that old packing out and clean everything, check also the "drilled tube inside" for good condition (ie the holes must be open and free from any dirt and carbon). jtlaw1 Posted December 24, 2004 Report Share Posted December 24, 2004 The best way to clean the core is to burn of all the carbon with a torch it turns to ash and then use a wire brush . endo kid Posted December 28, 2004 Report Share Posted December 28, 2004 I repack my sons rev 80 about every six to seven weeks. This seems to keep it quiet and running nice.
