john.b
I am like Copemech, in that my shock will only go the way it was designed. We both have 07 bikes, so I can assume the tri-link must have been changed for 08 bikes and 09.
trialsnutterman
It's nothing to do with the delta link, they changed the aluminium end cap with the damping adjuster to a slimmer design sometime around the end of 2007, this newer slimmer design can be mounted either way up. manwithtool
So Mr Trialsnutterman, does this mean the suspension linkage and geometry hasn't changed since before 2005 till today ? Nice to know. By the way the 2005 shock I have in my sons 2008 is working fine, he's finding plenty of grip and still hopping it around. trialsnutterman
They did change the Delta link in 2009 but it was just changed to help protect the bottom of the shock from rock damage, the actual position of the holes remained the same. The swinging arm was changed for a shorter one on the 2007 model and there have been a few revisions to the Olle rear shock but as far as I know everything else has remained the same. kramit
Somewhere along the way, the shock length did change and the link had to be changed to maintain the origional ride height. We got caught up in this first hand. '06 would be my guess.
