I have a couple of stators down in my shed and will let you know soon. From memory the Cota stators did not change much during the 70's. Will give you an answer in the next couple of days. It wasnt long before he noticed the points were wired straight to earth. dont know how or why as it was over a year since i took the bike apart and it was sparking back then.
