coriolis
Hi guys. Recently moved to Stansted from "oop North" and wanted to know peoples opinions on the trials scene down here. I used to be well involved in the scene, and worked for one of the UK importers but have been off a bike for a few years now. From the people i have already spoken to, im told i will find events down here a big dissapointment, as they just dont have the variation in terrain like we have up north (Richmond/Darlington/Yeadon & Guisley/Ripon etc were my local clubs). Im told i will only find muddy banks and tree roots in this area! What opinions do you guys hold? Cheers Coriolis

Cheers Coriolis Clubs all over the country put events on with the same enthusiasm, however in the South we mainly have the type of land that you have described, mud banks and roots. Its all in the geography.
manwithtool
try berko club....one of the most popular clubs around thanks mainly to their practice ground..... www.berkotrials.com I'm on the committee and we have spent alot of time improving the ground. But you will have to improve your technique for mud, no getting away from that !!

thespikeyone
try berko club....one of the most popular clubs around thanks mainly to their practice ground..... www.berkotrials.com I agree that berko and north berks tend to have the biggest variation in the area at there respective grounds where as the rest is mud. having moved from lincolnshire to daan saarf there is a massive difference and I get really frustrated simply because I can't ride in mud and much prefer ssdt style sections.
