twinnshock
It depends on the ACU permit of the event. Permits can be issued for Closed to club (only members of the club may ride), Restricted Invitation (members of up to 10 invited clubs) Center Restricted (open to any member of a club in permit issuing center) and Regional restricted (open to club members in up to 3 invited ajoining centers) and National (open to all) The regulations should state what type of permit the event is being run under. dab-man
Twinnshock is right in what he is saying, but I believe that there are a cople of centres around the country one of them being the South West that all trials are open to centre grade an you then only need to join one club in the centre to ride any trials events in that centre. twinnshock
Dab-man That is what is known as centre restricted permit. I.e. the event is open to a member of any club in the centre that issued the permit. In the Eastern centre most trials are run with this level of permit. The big problem with this is making sure that dates do not clash with other clubs and therefore splitting the entry. All clubs in the Eastern Centre submit dates to the competition committee late in the year for the following year then sit back and wait to see what they have been allocated. About this time of year we all find out the dates allocated and then fall out with each other about who actually got what. The funny thing is we all ride each others events and even on many occations go along to other clubs and help peg banging etc. Who would want to be on a club committee? stuartc
Hi, just join the torridge club as well, then you can ride both centres!
