greybeard
Hi, Just a brief hello from me, Brian. I'm from near Dorchester, Dorset, and ride an ageing BMW K100RS on the road. I've been thinking about replacing it with something smaller and lighter 'cos at 61 going on 62 it is getting a bit heavy. Used to follow trials as a youngster back in the mid-late 60's so may get something for a bit of Green Laneing. Anyway, I'm pleased to have found this forum, the info and responses I've read so far are encouraging. Brian
rockyrider
Brian, Welcome Aboard......You seriously thinking about giving up the "flying brick"? Maybe not but, best thing You could do is take on a light weight trials bike for fun and exercise. Best of both worlds .
greybeard
Thanks Rocky, yes I suppose having two bikes could be an option. Just got to talk the wife into it now.

magwa
Welcome to the madness from a member that used to live in Sydling St Nicolas I was a Trout Farmer in the late 70's / early 80's and enjoyed an old Bultaco 250 (DLG 49F) long gone. I'm in the same dilemma as yourself and am probably going to sell my KTM 990 Adv for the same reasons! I have purchased a nice Montesa. I can tell you it is the way forward. But be ready to kick start again! (For that reason I didn't go the Bultaco route as left leg kicking is a no no for me ( lol)) Plenty of good bikes around if you want to go back to your youth OR, Try a Beta Alp 200 with a nice electric leg, these are very underrated bikes Good luck Magwa Edited September 1, 2014 by magwa
